Moderncat reader Sarah tipped me off to these great stainless steel snack bowls from CB2. Sarah got a set to use for her cats’ food and water bowls. She reports that they are wide enough so kitty’s whiskers don’t touch the sides, plus the angle makes it easy to eat and drink.

Designed to be snack serving dishes, these bowls make the perfect modern cat feeding station. Sarah has two beautiful Burmese cats, Eliza, who immediately took to the bowls, and Max, who’s apparently a bit of a fraidy cat and was scared of his reflection in the polished surface at first. Just look at these faces!

The stainless steel bowls are available from CB2.com. Thanks, Sarah!

Love this idea!I’m always looking at cooking shops and home goods stores for pretty non-plastic bowls for my kitties. Somehow I missed these – I love CB2! I’m headed to their website right now. THANKS!!!

I really love this! (And I love the kitties too.) Now are these the mini snack bowls or the regular sized ones? I really want to get a pair of these.

Is Sarah using the 4.5″ diameter bowls or the 7″ diameter bowls? I LOVE these, but I need to know which are appropriately wide enough for kitteh whiskers! I want to use these for the water bowls that I have out all the time, and eventually for the regular feeding bowls that I put out at food time. Can’t buy too many at once.

I love these bowls and love it more that Sarah saw them and used them for her kitties rather than for what Crate and Barrel had their suggested use as. Sarah could be the Martha Stewart for pet products. Thanks for sharing.

Those are beautiful. I would like to get some. Which size did she buy? The small or large bowls?

I also want to know which size they are. I’m going to add them to our wedding registry at CB2 so our kitties can be included in the gift giving. Of course our guests won’t know exactly who they’re buying them for!

I am using the 7″ bowls for Max and Eliza. Perfect size.

Thanks SarahB for letting us know what size. Just ordered one to try for my kitties. They are use to ceramic and have never tried stainless steel but these are cute and different. Will use it for an extra bowl of water for them upstairs. Great there is room for whiskers.

THese are beautiful and so nice for cats! Yes, the 7″ would definitely be the better size to provide space for whiskers (and food!:) )

I think three of the 7″ bowls is a bit too rich for my blood!

These bowls are gorgeous! And so functional too. I would love to donate them to our local cat shelter (if I could part with them!) LOL! Thank you for donating!
