We have a new favorite lounge spot at home: The Scratch Lounge. Ando recently had a chance to give it a test drive (thank you, Scratch Lounge!) and he is quite impressed. The shape of the Scratch Lounge is just perfect for kitties to plop down in, with thick corrugated cardboard surfaces on the bottom and on two sides, creating a cardboard nest. The other great design feature is that all three cardboard pads (bottom and both sides) are reversible, so it’s like getting two loungers in one. And when it’s really done, the whole thing is recyclable.
The Scratch Lounge is made in the USA in Chicago, Illinois using all safe materials including non-toxic wheat-based glue to adhere the cardboard pieces together. And besides being a great product, The Scratch Lounge is made by a great company. A full 10% of profits are donated to The Amanda Foundation Mobile Clinic, which provides low-cost spay/neuter services specifically to the poorest communities of Los Angeles.

Not only does the Scratch Lounge contribute to The Amanda Foundation, but they regularly participate generously in lots of animal rescue programs and fundraisers, like the recent aCATemy awards adoption event where every cat received a free Scratch Lounge, and the HSUS Genesis Awards. The people behind the Scratch Lounge truly have the welfare of the animals in mind as part of their business plan! Stay up-to-date on the latest Scratch Lounge activities on their Facebook page.

I just brought home the Scratch Lounge. That is the problem, I just brought home ONE scratch lounge, but I have two cats. The larger cat, Sarah, got into it first and just went crazy. Sasha was not happy. She tried various ways to get her sister to get out. After a little scuffle, Sasha finally ended up in the Scratch Lounge. Sarah is sulking in the corner, so you see I really need some help and would like to have a chance to get one from your drawing. Sasha has been contently nesting in the Scratch Lounger for the past 45 minutes. I’m not sure if I’ll ever get her to come out because she knows her sister is waiting nearby.

My cats love to scratch – everything that is. My couch, the sides of the door jams and even the end of the carpeted stairs. They could really use a proper place to scratch that doesn’t get them in trouble. This scratch lounger is the perfect solution to keep my clan focused on sharpening their skills in an acceptable place for a change. It’s purr-fectly suited for my feline friends!

I bought a Scratch Lounge a couple months ago. I just brought home ONE scratch lounge, but I have six cats. Everybody takes turns but its a 6 ring circus. It would really help my multi-cat household to add another one.

My guys can’t get enough card board, they seem to prefer it over a soft pillow for cat naps. This would be perfect so they don’t have to keep fighting over one small cardboard scratcher.

I have one similar to this and my 5 cats love it!! It amuses me when 2 of my cats squish into it and it needs to be replaced due to all the use it gets Lol

Sorry, one is not enough!
It will be a fight for it if I take home only one for 15 cats.

I have 3 cats , (Peaches) is truly the consummate lounger. He will bundle up like a ball, stretch out on his back like Garfield, or just hangover whatever edge is comfortable for the moment. If I could attach a picture you would clearly see him in action. Sophie is more of a couch potatoe & must wait for peaches to leave. They both thoroughly appreciate the nail grooming aspect of the lounger as well. I am on this site to purchase a second as the 3rd kitty ( Ms.Ayer) has no chance at all with current lounger.

We have three Scratch Loungers, and our cats love them! It’s a rare moment when any one of the three is empty of a cat.

What a brilliant idea! My cats inevitably fall asleep on the scratch pad anyway! Love love love it! I will have to buy three soon (3 selfish cats at home).
