Hold on to your cats! This might be the coolest new concept I’ve seen in a while! I just received photos from the folks at Catswall Design Co, Ltd. of this brilliant new idea for a modular cat climbing wall. It’s a set of beautifully crafted wooden boxes that mount on a wall grid so you can move the boxes around to create a modular configuration of climbing, perching, and napping spots for kitty. Only the grid is attached to the wall and the boxes hang on the grid. Great idea!
The boxes have hinged lids for easy cleaning and they are made of natural wood for a clean contemporary look.
I absolutely love the cat and fish cutouts. The photos of the cats inside the boxes look like “face-in-the-hole” photo booth shots! Hilarious!
This design is just in the concept phase now. This is the prototype, but I’m told the company is working on bringing this to market if it’s something people would be interested in. Please leave a comment and let us know what you think!

WOW! It’s a little ‘busy’ for my taste but what fun! I’d probably like the option of some plain boxes as well as the cut-out ones.

This is just perfect for kitties. I have four and they are very active. Maybe I would get a few hours sleep if they could play with this for a while. LOL MOL!!!

I _love_ the modular wall idea. I would love it even more if it was combined with “useful” storage (bookcase cubbies? storage boxes?) for those of us who don’t have entire walls to spare. The cutout designs are very cute, and make for some hilarious pictures. Personally, I prefer more “neutral” designs when I can get them – picture frames, windows, stylized geometric shapes, that sort of thing, that don’t scream “for the pets” quite as much.
If I had the opportunity (and money!) to make my perfect set, I’d mix one each of the cat designs with a mix of frames and geometric designs, and “steal” 6 of the cubbies for “useful” storage (probably their catfood!). My two cats would still get to clamber all over, and I’d get a place to hide some clutter!

love! in the home i could see this working in a smaller design; rather than a whole wall, i’d like to install something 2-3′ wide, and then you can go up as high as you like or your home allows. very cool concept. beautiful design!

Looks like a commercial slatwall backing, which is already for sale everywhere shop fittings are. You can buy a variety of shelves and hangers for slatwall, so if you can find a shopfitters or buy fittings from a store which is closing down, it is definitely something you can do yourself.

Love this! Agree with some of the other commentors: I’d be more likely to purchase it as a smaller version, perhaps one-two box width. I don’t have space for a full wall installation in my home, but a narrower version would fit perfectly – and make my kitties utterly happy.

Oh I love this one! A smaller one would be nice – I can’t think of a full wall that would have the space for it. I guess I should start saving for a cat fun wall! And I am sure that it would be great in shelters too.
