Megan over at Modcatlove recently posted some of these breathtaking street art stencils by Christian Guémy, A.K.A. C215. This French street stencil artist is being compared to Banksy, but he definitely has a style all is own. His work has shown up in Istanbul, Dakar, Brooklyn, Morocco, and New Delhi. He always works with images that relate to the local culture, and cats are a common subject matter. Feast your eyes on some of these magnificent creations.
See more of C215′s work in his Flickr gallery and check out this interview with him over at Ape On the Moon.

Thank you for sharing these – they have an implicit charm, but also a very raw and touching realism about them. The thrid picture reminds me of some sort of Van Gogh inspired painting and I really love the cat so matter of factly on the corner looking out into the street.
