What a stunning model! And he or she seems to be a good sport about wearing these fabulous creations from Etsy seller CATatelier, featuring handmade kitty fashion made by “a detail-oriented perfectionist cat-lover, trained in costume and prop creation.” This is definitely not for every cat, but if you have a mellow kitty, this could make for some fun photo shoots.

Little collars can be fitted with bow ties or other fun accessories while kitty-sized neck scarves create a very classy look. Check out the CATatelier Etsy shop for new styles being added regularly.

I particularly like the Strawberry Beret.

Thanks to Moderncat reader Jennifer for the find.

Awww, what a gorgeously sweet-tempered Abyssinian kitty! I love the striped, dapper neck scarves!
I doubt my two cats would appreciate being dressed ~ I can barely manage to keep their collars on ~ which is why I paint their portraits in clothing instead. LOL
But I fondly remember my childhood cat, Flicker, who patiently suffered through fashion shows in dolls’ gowns and straw hats.
There are some cats, I believe, who wish they were born human!

What a beautiful model! Neither of my cats would sit so nicely, but I really like the neck scarves

Very cute!!! I can’t think of one of my eight who would actually keep this on though……….

I usually don’t care much for pet costumes, but these collars are so adorable…I think the cat model makes them work.

While not into clothing for cats because cats are perfectly attired just as they are, I do love the black tie, and the red beret, in particular. And, of course, the model

That is Toki (aka GP Ataraxia Nantucket of Instincts)! He is a cousin of my Aby Jacoby…I think perhaps patience with wearing outfit may run in their family
Here is Jake in his top hat from CatAtlier and his tuxedo dickie and bowtie from Etsy seller SnoopCattyCatt (http://www.etsy.com/shop/SnoopCattyCatt)

I can tell from the photos that your product is well-made.
Your model is exceptional. I think you made that strawberry beret just to keep his ears under control!

Dashing Kitty – simply dashing. My cat would probably tolerate this for 30 seconds and then wake the neighborhood.

Oo I am so excited to be featured here- I love this blog! And yes, my Toki is a fantastic model. And he doesn’t mind doing drag for the girly items
He gets paid for modelling with baked chicken- his favorite. Don’t worry, he doesn’t have to wear clothes around, only for photo shoots. He runs around naked 99% of the time.

It should be against the law to dress up yours or anyone’s cat. They are not made the same way as us. They cannot lick themselves when they are dressed up. You know that itch you get deep in your ear that you can not reach ? That is probably what your cat feels when he can not lick. Stop dressing up cats. If you must dress something: have a baby or dress up your husband or wife or a friend…
