The fabulous folks from Found Animals had a table at BlogPaws, and, needless to say, their new 6 Packs/9 Lives 2012 Calendar caught my eye! They created this unique calendar to promote cat adoption by busting out of the “crazy cat lady” stereotype. Found Animals, and these 14 calendar hunks, want everyone to know that cats make wonderful pets for any lifestyle and they encourage everyone to adopt a cat from their local animal shelter or rescue group.
The calendar was shot by award-winning fashion and beauty photographer, Adam Bouska of the “No H8” campaign, and published by Brown Trout Publishers, who is donating $1 from each calendar sold in retail outlets. You can also order the 6 Packs/9 Lives calendar online now.
Found Animals has purchased 10,000 calendars that will be donated to LA area non-profit groups that help cats. These groups will be able to sell the calendars as a fundraiser for their organization. If your organization would like to participate, please email Found Animals at info@foundanimals.org.

Aw! I loved the Cat Days of Summer! Being able to give 496 cats and dogs their forever homes is wonderful! You all are doing such great work. The 6 Packs/9 Lives Calendar is such a great idea, it’s awesome that you had guys out there to volunteer for this (especially as a cat loving woman). The website was very helpful and informative. It awesome to know there are places out there like Michelson.
Congrats on all your success!

Loved the cat adoption center!
This calendar is such a great idea…I hope more local shelters do things like this to generate awareness!

Loved the blog, esp the Top 5 we are not “crazy cat ladies”. I may have more then 1 cat, but my husband is definitely the crazy cat guy…

I liked that the site had links to resources beyond Los Angeles.

I think that the most important/cool thing that I found on their website was the adoption center. All cats need some love and a good family to go to, ESPECIALLY if the guy has a 6 pack

I liked the information about the microchip. Many of my friends who have pets don’t really know a lot about it. Mostly because they’re too lazy to research, but this site is really fun and has a lot of great toys and ideas for your furry friend! I will definitely be forwarding your awesome FAQ about microchipping to my friends!

I loved the “Top 5 Reasons I am Not a Crazy Cat Lady!”

I think the pet finder link on the page will prove to be very handy when we’re ready to adopt another furkid.

I just ordered one of these for a friend’s birthday! She will love it! And I wouldn’t mind having one on my wall next year either!

The micro-chip information was very helpful! I want to get my cat a micro chip because he loves being outside. It would be nice to know I wouldn’t loose him forever if he got out unsupervised.

Their adopt section is most important to me. They thankfully explain the adopt vs. buying an animal choice, and the all too often overlooked things people may not think about when buying from a pet store.

A lot of good information that is not specific to their California location – thanks!

While I loved the Crazy Cat Lady blog & the CA Pet Lover plates you can now get (Envy!!), the most useful info I read at Found Animals is the page on spay and neuter services. I’m now personally fostering the sixth stray kitten that found me at the apt. complex I live in. I have put out my own money to get them parasite free & in some cases treated other things & also taken advantage of the free spay & neuter program offered in my area. All to help find them a forever home. I’m so grateful for these remarkable people that help these animals. I don’t have a lot of money & have three kitties of my own but these programs are very benefecial.

Meeeeeow!

love the concept, but the front cover image is a little more then a little creepy and I probably wouldn’t pick it up if that is the one image I saw.

Wow! Distasteful !I really did like the feature picture of the model on the cover of the calendar holding little kitties to hide…?

The site is great. Full of useful information, like Spay and Neuter, pet adoption etc. I can’t say what I found was the most attractive was the most useful, but definately the calendars have got to change the image of the crazy cat ladies. These boys are damn hot! My sister has requested one for her birthday!

I think the Pet Care section is the most helpful so I can make sure my cats are healthy and happy.

I am convinced that free or low-cost spay/neuter is the only way to decrease the terrible animal overpopulation problem we have in this country. I was very interested in the Michaelson grant towards developing a better sterilization method. I hope someday a sterilization vaccine for feral cats will be perfected.

PHWROAR! On the other hand, I’m so glad someone is focusing on cats this time.

First of all, who doesn’t love cats and six packs?
Second of all I love the idea of the Adopt&Shop. I think it’s a wonderful idea to find pets great homes, and also a one-stop shop to get all of the basic things you need to own a pet. And they have employees to help you find the perfect fit for your lifestyle. I just wish we had something like this in Canada. My cat is a rescue cat from here in Canada. She is very temperamental and does not get along with other pets. But I believe this is the perfect home for her where she can get the attention she needs. My sister (Who I would be giving the calender to) is a cat lover, with 3 cats. She also needs a man in her life, so why not a calender full!?
