The fabulous folks from Found Animals had a table at BlogPaws, and, needless to say, their new 6 Packs/9 Lives 2012 Calendar caught my eye! They created this unique calendar to promote cat adoption by busting out of the “crazy cat lady” stereotype. Found Animals, and these 14 calendar hunks, want everyone to know that cats make wonderful pets for any lifestyle and they encourage everyone to adopt a cat from their local animal shelter or rescue group.
The calendar was shot by award-winning fashion and beauty photographer, Adam Bouska of the “No H8” campaign, and published by Brown Trout Publishers, who is donating $1 from each calendar sold in retail outlets. You can also order the 6 Packs/9 Lives calendar online now.
Found Animals has purchased 10,000 calendars that will be donated to LA area non-profit groups that help cats. These groups will be able to sell the calendars as a fundraiser for their organization. If your organization would like to participate, please email Found Animals at info@foundanimals.org.

Oops! I forgot to mention that I found the pet cares info on the site very helpful!
August 30th, 2011 at 9:37 am
I think the most useful info is the benefits of pet spay & neuter. It’s shocking how many people still don’t understand these basic benefits!
Fun giveaway, thanks!

I live in LA and Found Animals Foundation is such a great resource for our community!
August 30th, 2011 at 9:41 am
I really like the link to their YouTube channel – I’m a fiend for cute pet videos, and I think it’s an awesome idea to have videos of adoptable pets!
August 30th, 2011 at 9:41 am
This is absolutely hilarious.
August 30th, 2011 at 9:42 am
I was reading the past Found Animals Pet Club Cat newletters, and there was a lot of great info in there.
Thanks for the giveaway.
August 30th, 2011 at 9:44 am
I liked the stuff on microchipping, too, and the news bits, but I especially liked the link to the calendar order form!
August 30th, 2011 at 9:45 am
What a great idea for a calendar hope it is a BIG fundraiser for a group doing an awesome job!
August 30th, 2011 at 9:46 am
Great resource!I sent to my CA connections
August 30th, 2011 at 9:47 am
Any information about spaying and neutering is so important! So many animals in shelters.

The Pet Lover’s license plate and donation program is a super idea!! Oregon should “get on the “cat-wagon” with this one!”
August 30th, 2011 at 9:51 am
Loved this tips on dental care for cats. I have been struggling to brush my little Romeo’s teeth for a while now. They suggested, “Put the toothpaste on a treat and have your pet get familiar with the taste of it,” which is a GREAT idea!
August 30th, 2011 at 9:51 am
Egads – calendar not available! I like their downloads page, although it tends to be more doggie than I need…
August 30th, 2011 at 9:54 am
Low cost spay/neuter location map is very useful.
August 30th, 2011 at 9:56 am
I liked all the information they had about spaying and neutering
August 30th, 2011 at 9:58 am
Their info on Behavior Training and Microchipping was very informative. The Outdoor Fun article was really interesting!
August 30th, 2011 at 9:59 am
What a fabulous organization. I love the pet identification program.
August 30th, 2011 at 9:59 am
The info on microchipping was useful to me, as I’d heard conflicting info about whether you had to pay a yearly fee to keep it active or not.
August 30th, 2011 at 10:00 am
I found the Pet ID and the Ask the Experts series to be very informative and comprehensive, but the most interesting was about the Michelson Prize. It would be great to have a non-surgical sterilant! I hope this hefty prize gets some great scientists going.
August 30th, 2011 at 10:05 am
LOL !! I’m game. Thanks for the opportunity.
August 30th, 2011 at 10:06 am
I liked the section on pet training. So many animals are in shelters because of behavioral problems that can be fixed by training. I love the calendar!
August 30th, 2011 at 10:09 am
The Behavior and Training section under Petcare has a lot of good advice for traveling with your cat, taking it outside on a leash, and understanding aggressive behavior. As for the calendar, I can think of 3 people I would want to give it to if I won it! I know it would make them giggle.

The 6 pack 9 lives calendar is hilarious and wonderful – I so need it for my wall at work! The website is very nicely designed and informative. I like the star of the week; spay/neuter info is probably most useful.
August 30th, 2011 at 10:15 am
I like the Funny Pet Video links! Would love the calendar! I hope this is a great fund raiser for them.
August 30th, 2011 at 10:15 am
I really like all the info on pet care…what a great website in general though! This calander is great…a must have!
August 30th, 2011 at 10:20 am
Okay this calendar will definitely fill some spots on my X-mas list. It would be lovely to win it but I’m a little confused on where we can go to buy it.
I found the info on behavior and training very useful. Also low cost spaying and neutering. These are very valuable resources that make sure guardians know how to take care of their pets so the pets will STAY adopted.
…but let’s be honest, funny pet videos will always be the most popular. This site has everything, I’m totally adding it to my bookmarks.
August 30th, 2011 at 10:22 am
I found the microchipping information useful, I learned some fun new facts. This calendar mixes my two favourite things in the world! Kitties and sexy men
August 30th, 2011 at 10:23 am

August 30th, 2011 at 10:24 am
Well we always knew that Real Men love Cats – so this is no surprise! I hope I win it – would get them all talking at work!
August 30th, 2011 at 10:26 am
This is a GREAT site and I thank you for bringing it to my attention. I love the “Star of the Week”, and “ask the experts”. Their experts are very diversified and have wonderful backgrounds. I will certainly be checking this site on a regular basis.
August 30th, 2011 at 10:28 am
Two of my fav things! 1) Kittens and 2) helping found animals.
August 30th, 2011 at 10:28 am
I like the petcare part of the site. My cat is getting older and having more issues. I like having a resource for finding help for her.
August 30th, 2011 at 10:31 am
Loved their star of the week -
August 30th, 2011 at 10:31 am
Love that under “Choosing a Dog Trainer” they emphasize positive reinforcement training methods (which are also great for cats, too!). What a great calendar, too

the pet behavior section is an invaluable tool. Man that calendar is awesome!!!
August 30th, 2011 at 10:43 am
The most useful info on the site had to be the identification for pets section. I liked their explanation of what a microchip really does for you and your pet.
August 30th, 2011 at 10:43 am

August 30th, 2011 at 10:51 am
I found the Behaviour and Training section to be helpful. Regardless of whether I get picked, I think I may buy a calendar! A great Christmas present for a coworker who is also crazy about her cat.
August 30th, 2011 at 10:53 am
What a terrific idea to share the joy of cats by both sexes and to raise money to help the wonderful people who do the tough work! I love it and would love to have one. Thanks.
August 30th, 2011 at 10:54 am
I especially appreciate the feature en espanol on spay/neuter for cats. The advocacy community and veterinary profession needs to reach out to ALL communities in their first languages with low/no-cost spay/neuter incentives NOW.
