Kitties love to scratch cardboard, but you don’t love vacuuming all the time. Well, the ScratchPal™ no-mess cardboard cat scratcher puts an end to that. This patent-pending design keeps all those cardboard flakes from scattering on the floor by containing them in a sturdy, raised wooden box. The high sides of the box also give kitty a nice little spot to curl up in.
The folks at CatAbove are offering a ScratchPal to one lucky winner. To enter this giveaway, please leave a comment on this post. The winner will be chosen in a random drawing and announced on September 13, 2011. One entry per person, please. This giveaway is limited to addresses in the US.

Very neat idea! I would love to discourage my kitty from scratching the couch as much as I can. We would love it!

This would be an excellent idea for my fosters because they sometimes decide (one in particular) thinks the wallpaper is a great place but not for me! Excellent design and would love one.

Really cool!!! Since I am in Canada … if my name is drawn could it be sent to a rescue of my choice in the U.S.?
If not … I’ll understand.
Good luck everyone.

Might keep my kitten off the wicker furniture whcih he is currently destroying with great enthusiasm.
September 7th, 2011 at 2:33 am
What a great idea. I’m so tired of picking up cardboard “puzzle pieces”. I find them everywhere. If I don’t win, I’ll get one anyway. Mini is such a lucky cat.

Sounds like a great idea. We have a young tabby that loves digging his claws into our furniture, so I’d hope to distract him with this.

September 7th, 2011 at 6:03 am

Simple and solid.
My guys would propably sleep in it
September 7th, 2011 at 6:27 am
MY CAT, KIKI, WOULD LOVE THIS
September 7th, 2011 at 6:34 am
I have something similar, and it doesn’t leave cardboard pieces all over the place; the vertical ones do!
However, this is so elegant that I thought I would try to get it. The thing I have noticed about the ones I have now is that they slide a lot on a wooden floor. I wonder if this footed one will do the same.
September 7th, 2011 at 6:39 am
My cats love scratching on cardboard (and my furniture). They are not having anything made of sisal or carpet, thank you very much. But, you are right, vacuuming up the ripped up shreds of carpet makes me grumble. This box is a fantastic idea.
September 7th, 2011 at 6:44 am
Great idea! My cats LOVE cardboard but I’d given up on it as I was tired of pieces of cardboard all over the house! We’d love to see a mess-free cardboard option back in the house!
September 7th, 2011 at 7:02 am
Finally! A scratcher that our CH kitties could use without toppling it! That’s a really beautiful design. NICE WORK!
September 7th, 2011 at 7:19 am
What a unique idea. Would certainly eliminate the cardboard I keep sweeping up.
September 7th, 2011 at 7:28 am
This is really nice and I am sure my kids would love this to scratch away on
September 7th, 2011 at 7:32 am
Super practical for my cat that loves to horizontal scratch.
September 7th, 2011 at 7:36 am
My cats love scratching cardboard and leave bits of it all over the house. Not having to pick up dead cardboard bits would be a blessing!
September 7th, 2011 at 7:42 am
I love this! My cat loves to scratch, so this would be perfect for her! Love the high sides as well so they can curl up inside of it. Adorable!
September 7th, 2011 at 7:55 am
One of my cats likes to scratch the sides of the cardboard box holding the cardboard pad, which is extra messy. This looks like a great solution!
September 7th, 2011 at 8:17 am
Yes! This would be splendid. Shreds of cardboard haunt my existence.
September 7th, 2011 at 8:22 am
The first scratcher I bought hasn’t tempted my cat much, so maybe this one would do the trick!
September 7th, 2011 at 8:25 am
Omg! I love this cat scratch, and I know my cat would absolutely love it too! We’ve been looking high and low for a good one, so I’ll keep my fingers crossed. =D
