Animal rescue groups and shelters need to work at self-promotion. Marketing is just as important to a non-profit as it is for any big business. One great way to promote a group is to design and print a colorful flyer to handout at adoption events and other events. There are a lot of printing companies available online and one of them is a cool company, UPrinting.com. UPrinting offers several different printing services including flyer printing and business card printing, all at very affordable prices. You can upload your own artwork or even design something online.
ENTER TO WIN!
When UPrinting approached me about a giveaway, I thought it would be fun to offer the prize to help promote a cat rescue group, since a lot of groups don’t have a big budget for printing. So here’s your chance to win 250 color flyers for your favorite rescue group! To enter, please leave a comment on this post with the name of the animal rescue group that you would give the prize to. The winner will be chosen in a random drawing and announced on October 7, 2011. One entry per person.
The winner will receive 250 free color flyers (4.25″ x 5.5″ or 4″ x 6″) printed on 14pt glossy cardstock (front side printing only), plus free shipping to US addresses. This giveaway is limited to US residents 18 years old and above.
This giveaway is sponsored by UPrinting, no monetary compensation was given and I will receive flyers for hosting. For more information about flyers, please visit Uprinting.com.

I nominate Ramapo Bergen Animal Refuge- RBARI. It’s a no kill shelter in NJ. I donated a lot of catnip toys that I made last Christmas, and they let me go into the cat areas and watch the cats play with them. It was awesome. I felt really happy but sad at the same time. I would love to be able to give more to them with the free flyers.

Love this one, I have 9 persian cats. It’s a dream for them to have one because the most are rescued to give them a warm welcome home here in the Netherlands, because we don’t have animal police like you have in the USA.
I hope that we get that here soon!
But now I give them the love and care they need after a misserable live before.
I communicate to annimals so I hope to give them a better place.
Thanks for telling this to you!

I would like to help First Coast No More Homeless Pets in Jacksonville, Florida. They offer low and no cost spay and neuter programs and they also just took over one of the city shelters that was going to be shut down. First Coast jumped in and is keeping the shelter open. They could use this support.

A worthy recipient would be Bridges for Animals of Madison, Indiana.

Tennessee Humane Animal League’s Pet Placement Center is the only no kill shelter in Chattanooga, TN. These flyers would help us get homes for our cats and dogs who are currently residing with us so we can save more lives from the high kill animal controls in the surrounding counties in GA and TN. At PPC it is all about the animals.

I ask that Habitat for Cats receive this offer. They are a non-profit group who works with caretakers of feral cats. They take friendly ferals and kittens into foster homes to be socialized and adopted. They TNR the rest in a clinic.
I paint wine glasses and they have sold them at fundraiser. I make some crafts but hunt Craigslist for materials for them to build huts for homeless cats.I don’t have money to spare and they TNR all my guys so I try to pay them back in this way. I knowe they can use all the help I can get them. Thanks.

Paws 4 Life is a no-kill shelter in San Angelo that rehabilitates and adopts cats and dogs out to good homes. People are even welcome to bring their own pets for training. Not a lot of people are aware of them, and they are doing such a good thing.

Itty Bitty Orphan Kitty Rescue (aka IBOKRescue.org) is wonderful. They take in orphan kittens, foster them and find them homes. They also teach people how to care for prewean kittens and have set up the PreWean Kitten Project so that shelters in the area can help people who bring in prewean kittens learn to care for them till they’re old enough to be adopted.

I nominate the Central Brevard County Humane Society. With the bad economy here on the Florida Space Coast and so many people moving out of the area, this shelter is being inundated. They are even offering specials like adopt a cat and receive a free kitten. They have also lowered the adoption fee for any cat in the shelter more than a certain amount of time to $20. They are doing the best they can but it is obvious they really need the help. And so do the animals.

WooHoo! this would be a fantastic prize to win for my most wonderful shelter that does WONDERS for the local abandoned and unwanted cats in our community! The Humane Society of Rome, NY has an INCREDIBLE staff and awesome volunteers and system of fosterers, without whom they could not save as many furbabies as we can. Our hearts are big, but unfortunately our budget is very small….so I will cross my fingers and ask the babies to cross their paws and we will hope like mad!!
October 6th, 2011 at 1:37 pm
