It’s been a while since I checked in with the design team over at Cat-Interiors and they’ve been busy adding new items to their spectacular line of modern cat accessories. First, one of my all time favorite pieces of modern cat furniture, the Rondo cat perch, now comes in a colorful crocheted outer cover made with heavy cotton yarn over a steel frame.

They’ve also added some beautiful new beds to the line including the Siro Twist basket bed, made with woven rope over a metal frame. The Siro bed comes with a bottom cushion and two back cushions that look incredibly comfortable.

And finally, another new basket bed, the Arena wicker cat basket, also has an orthopedic pillow with a back rest and comes in natural or natural and red.

Oh, I wish these had a distributer in the US! These are amazing! I would love to be able to get the crocheted-cover bed on the steel stand. Sigh… Love love love.

I like the design and appearance BUT Unfortunately My cats would very likely just think this to be another scratching post and would engage in the game of taking the weaving apart!!

These are marvelous! My decorating style is more country/thrift store, but those baskets would mix in wonderfully. And they’d greatly spoil some deserving senior babies of mine.

Wow, these are great! They are all so pretty, and I am sure my cats would love them!!

The ARENA would be our choice! The SIRO is nice, too. The pedestal bed doesn’t quite do it for me, but in the right setting, it might be nice.

Woah, the prices are incredibly expensive.

Wicker baskets with a pillow in it.. now that’s a monumental cat bed idea. You know why i don’t buy cat beds (even the fancy, innovative and modern beds!) because no matter what I buy (that includes the big fancy cat tree and the idea I had to make a mac monitor into one) they sleep on the weirdest stuff.
Want an example? for an entire week, one of my cats slept on a coiled steam cleaner hose… I got some old hose from freecycle, made it into a ‘bed’, covered it in catnip and it was suddenly USELESS and totally un-interesting to ANY animal in my household.

Modern cat is still cool, I’m just venting… is there something in the guarantee of any cat bed designer that if it becomes a cat hair (but not cat) collector, they’ll take it back until I find one that they’ll sleep in? I’m thinking probably not… thus why I refuse to buy any more cat beds

Like someone else posted, not sure how likely they’d be to use the beds. and at these prices, that’s a pretty expensive dodo! I was loving the Rondo, as I’m pretty sure any cat who likes to crawl into things would be loving it, tii. But I’m definitely not loving the prices. Why does Danish modern have to be so darn expensive? It seems that the simpler a design is, the less it should cost to produce them.

Looks just like me. Owner would very much like to display.

I love them. I only wish I could afford them. They’re expensive!
Can’t spend that much $$ on my cat when we need to fix the roof, etc etc.
