This is really big news in the Moderncat world! I was so excited to get an email from Jayne, creator of the Like Kittysville retro cat bed, announcing that she is now making removable, washable slip covers! These are some of my most favorite modern cat beds ever. We absolutely love ours (I had Jayne make me a custom bed in the same fabric as my living room chairs and bedroom curtains), and because the cats love them, too, I’m constantly cleaning the cat hair off the bed.
Jayne has wanted to design a slip cover for a while now, but because she is so particular about the quality of her products, she couldn’t find the perfect pattern. She thought that the bed’s concave shape might be un-slipcoverable, but finally she found just the right fit.
Jayne has a handful of fabulous fabric selections currently available in the Like Kittysville Etsy shop and I’m sure she’ll be adding more soon.

LOVE the bed style, and can’t choose just one favorite fabric, but probably it’d be the avocado floral. Love all those wonderful retro/modern earthtones!

OOH! my cat loves her bed but it is building up fur rapidly.
I wonder if you can use a slipcover over the original from like kittysville?

The bed is great, and removable slip covers make it even better! I think I like the mocha cover, and what a beautiful cat in the picture!!

Yes, Lisa, you can put a slipcover right over your Like Kittysville bed’s original upholstered fabric and its accumulation of kitty fur!
