Here’s a new line of handcrafted cat furniture from The Vertical Cat. Designed by Kathie Huddleston and built by her craftsman brother Terry Huddleston, these pieces use simple materials and have nice clean lines. The collection includes two cat trees, the Madison Cat Tree and the Alexa Cat Tree, which is designed to fit in a corner. Both have replaceable carpet inserts and come in 3′, 4′ or 5′ variations with clear or dark stain. This is the 4′ Alexa pictured above.
To help kitty get more vertical, they also have some cat shelves and a set of wall-mounted cat stairs. Nice! I especially like the Corner Cat Tree and the Wall Mounted Stairs. I wonder if the wall stairs should have some type of carpet on them too so the kitties don’t slip? I would think cats would need something for their claws to hang on to when they are running around. My cats run and jump from place to place and are really fast so I wouldn’t want them to slip.
We just put up our first wall perches this past week and our kitties love them! Highly recommend wall shelves for cats.

LOVE all of these products and even though we can’t afford at present, they are really competitively priced, as they say, with what the big-box stores offer, but these are much more compatible with modern decor. Great products!

Very intriguing. I love the design; the trees look well thought-out and have a simple elegant look. They’re too pricey to just run out an buy, but are definitely in the running when it’s time to make the big kitty purchase.

Love those stairs & perches! Somehow I think our 20lb+ boys would remove entire sections of drywall if I were to attempt hanging them however. For slender kitties though, pretty cool!

I love that they have a corner specific one and you have a choice of how tall. Might have to get one.

Unlike some others, this product looks like it could stand the test of time with large, adult cats.
Will they come in different colors ever? A light or dark wood would be awesome!

Wow! I absolutely love these. These look like furniture. I really like the Madison one. I think my cats would like it in front of a window.

On their website, under “Our materials” it says they can paint it in whatever colours you choose and/or match the carpeting to your own.

I bought the corner piece, Alexa, and it is great! It is sturdy, well supported, and VERY easy to assemble. The wood is beautiful as well.
