The folks at Catswall Design were very grateful for your comments when I first posted their magnificent modular cat climbing wall and they took many of your suggestions to heart, integrating them into the latest design. They just released the new system and it has some excellent features. The new catboxes have a door in front that is held closed with powerful magnets. All edges are rounded and there is a replaceable a rattan mat on the top. They still have all the cute cutouts, but they are working on creating more basic geometric shapes for different markets.

The system is easy to install. Simply attach the aluminum hanger plates to the wall, then you can purchase colored strips to place over the aluminum to customize the design. The grid can be adjusted to fit any size wall.

Once the grid is in place, hang the boxes and other attachments on the wall in any configuration you like. They have several new pieces including shelves and stairs, which would make it easier for kittens and older cats to access the wall elements.

The Catswall is still selling in Taiwan only, but the company hopes to have international distribution in place next year. Catswall Design has an English website now at catswall.com and you can stay up-to-date on their Facebook page. Complete product specs for readers in Taiwan can be found on the Catswall Design blog.

COOLEST thing ever!! If I ever finish my basement, this is going to be a major component. The only downside is that the cats would never want to come spend time with me upstairs! I freakin’ love it.

Very nice! Looks like they borrowed from my ex’s cat cutout design idea. Not too fond of the orange strips, but the wood finish is nice.

Very cool. Great designs.
I really like their Curvynest (would buy that for sure) and the exercise wheel too is neat.

This would be EXCELLENT for all of my kitty-cats, plus I have a long wall that would be perfect. I’ve purchased to Kitty Condos for them, but it’s not enough they all fight over the top perch. With this system I could provide a top perch for each one of them.

I’m overwhelmed… we NEED this at our rescue for all our ‘free-roaming” adoptees!
Simply wonderful

I would do a few walls in my house with this – and dispense with some of the other cat furniture that isn’t as functional. My boyfriend likes it too.

would love to see my clan of cats on this, but would need a whole wall or two for them.

Love the stair and shelf additions. My clan of 18 would love the whole set up, just think their very own city on a wall !

Terrific! Love the stairs, shelves, and cat-shaped hidey-hole boxes, and the mix-and-match flexibility. This system would be perfect for a wall in my lower level. Hope this is available in the U.S. soon.

Amazing! But I would worry about a hind leg getting caught on one of the small cutouts if they jumped out the special windows.

wow, I can imagen my 15 furry rescued children on it. But who will play with me?
