Show us your whiskers! St. Francis Hospice for Cats is running a fun photo challenge this week. Using the Instagram iPhone app, upload photos that focus on a cat’s whiskers. Be sure to tag your entries #sfhfc_thecatswhiskers and #keepsycats and include @sfhfc and @ele in order to be entered. You can enter up to three photos. The contest deadline is Nov 25, 2011. I’m not really seeing the details on the site; so what does the ‘winner’ win? Being featured on the site (?) which would certainly be enough for me, or some sort of recognition ~ maybe on facebook? (no details there either). I’m just not seeing the details. Please forgive in advance if I’m being obtuse!

While not having an iPhone precludes my entering this challenge, I love the fact of the hospice’s existence, joined their facebook page, and applaud their amazing work of love and compassion for cats in their time of need. It’s unfortunate we can’t enter the challenge, because there are some splendid whiskerages around here, especially that of our Maine Coon man, Sammi

Hi there, thank you so much for your interest in our photo challenge. I am sorry that this challenge has been run through Instagram alone. Following the interest shown I am looking to see if we can accept entries via our Facebook page which is still very new to me.

Sorry if not all the details of the challenge have been that clear.
The prize for the winner is a @keepey 2012 photo calendar plus the winning photo will get posted on our Instagram feed, our blog and now on our new Facebook page.

How do you view the pics I’ve entered? I tagged them (#sfhfc_thecatswhiskers and #keepsycats) and do not see them within the pics entered? My pics show that they have been tagged.
