At 57 years of age, times have changed, I seem to have been left behind in the clutter of wrapping paper, discarded plastic wrap and all things materialistic. Over the holidays I tend to retreat from the chaos of shopping malls, sale items, and honking horns to the quiet of my home.
Settled into my reading chair, real book of actual pages in my hands, cup of aromatic herbal tea within reach, being soothed by the rythmic purring of my lap cat, Zoe and my smokey gray Maine Coon, Zachary wrapped around my feet on the ottoman. What better way to spend the day then with my two loving furry companions. Some may call them the rescued felines of our home, but I believe I am the one to be grateful, for they seemed to have rescued me from the maddness of the outside world. For us the holiday is peace, love and contentment of the purrr-fection within our home.
