I just found this new ultra-modern pet hideaway over on my favorite design blog Design-Milk. It’s the Petball, a new creation coming to us from Korea. This cozy cave is raised on stylish legs with a comfy cushion inside. The top has built-in LED lights under a colored piece of acrylic, creating a side table.

It looks like the Petball sells for 98,000 to 158,000 KRW, or about $85 to $136 US, but I can’t tell how to order one in the US or what the shipping would be, so I’ll just admire it for now. Lucky Korean kitties.

Dear Moderncat:
These are being sold from Korea on eBay! Prices are a bit higher but they include shipping (I saw the Petball starting at $200).
Thanks,

Beautiful! Heaven forbid I should put a snack on top of that table, if Big Bad Baby Twinkle is residing in the hidey hole under the table top — hahaha — it would be gone in a heartbeat!!!

I love the style of those kitty cubes. Modern, yet on the same time it reminds me of the decorations of some James Bond’s supervillains caves, especially of Blofeld. Definitely a cat cave worth of a Bond/Blofeld fan human (or Blofeld’s cat).

Korean kitties are so lucky. We never get anything like this in Australia because all the designers think only dogs need things like these. They are so wrong.

Wow!I have the same question as commenter number eleven.

I have a little shy kitty who would just love this. She is always looking out quiet hideaways to make her own, she would be right at home in this.

Fortunately, I’m Korean, and I’ve contact the company. According to Petball, the item is on ebay.

Peta you should definitely get a Petball free for them using your cat’s picture! That is the least they can do.
Not too impressed that they couldn’t take a picture of a cat actually using their product.

You need to register at the bottom of the site there is a link. Once you register, you can shop and then order the pet ball the price is $215 for the white or pink model and it claims free shipping. I will be ordering this on payday! yay
