Here’s a completely new combination of multi-function in designer cat products. Introducing Cat Convertibles, a new line of home furnishings that function for both you and your cat. The Cat Convertible Cabinet is the first piece in this line. When closed, it looks like a regular cabinet, however, the side panels open to reveal a sisal scratching wall and the top slides down out of view uncovering a luxurious cat bed. Combine these features with functional storage shelves and a sleek glass front and you’ve got yourself a very unique piece of cat-friendly furniture.

The Cat Convertible Cabinet is available in black walnut or brown cherry finish. It’s regularly $329 US, but it’s currently on sale for $259. The faux fur bed is an extra $23. Available from catconvertibles.com.

I love this! Although I haven’t recovered from Christmas, I may have to take advantage of the sale price!

I am absolutely in love with this concept! It’s the perfect compromise – my cats will be happy and my fiance won’t be overwhelemed by more cat furniture!

Can anyone comment on the quality, ease of assembly, etc? The creator’s website doesn’t have reviews, nor does amazon.

I can hear the glasses inside tip over and break as the kitty is scratching on the outside…
Why not donate some money to a very needy cat organization instead. Most are hurting terribly for donations.
I read recently fewer people donated to charites last year than in recent years. I know rescuers who can’t afford to heat their homes this winter because they have to buy cat food instead since donations are so scarce. Something more has to be done to help them since they are doing the work most people won’t do to save these cats.

Awesome concepts but I personally wouldn’t want my furry cat above any type of glasses or bottles cause I don’t like to drink hair lol!

While this looks pretty in the glamor shot above, the unit is VERY poorly designed and constructed. The “assemble it yourself” kit I ordered was poorly packaged and many of the parts arrived with scratches and dings, not to mention way too much hardware and ridiculous instructions that did not address how to attach some of the more attractive features of the unit. Speaking of which, the “sliding top” does not in fact completely slide out of view so if you were planning on putting this near a window forget about the cat actually having a view to the outside. The veneer facing on the pieces does not cover the corners of the pieces so when you are finished assembling ALL of the white corners are very visible. Obviously our cats seem to recognize the shoddy workmanship and will not go anywhere near it preferring to stick to the credenza across the room. Overall we are all very disappointed.

Hi Steve,
We are terribly disappointed to hear you’ve had issues with your Cabinet. Please take any photos of the product damaged in shipping. We have a policy of sending replacement parts free of charge for shipping damages.
While we’ve put effort into making the instructions as best as possible, we know instructions of assembly can sometimes be frustrating. We’re currently creating a Youtube video to send to buyers to help the process. Sometimes the littlest tricks can make the biggest difference.
It is true that the lid leaves 5″ exposed, but we haven’t found that to be an issue with our cats using the product. Sometimes cats are suspicious of new objects in the house. Perhaps try feeding your cats a few snack/rewards while they’re on the bed. While our cats jumped right in and used it right away, a little coaxing might help.
Please feel free to reach out to us with any other issues. It’s very important to us that you’re satisfied.
Best,
Cat Convertible Team
