Here’s a really unique design for a pet bed. It’s from Etsy seller SassMuffins. These beds are made with removable side pillows, making them very easy to wash. You can also remove the pillows to fold the bed flat for easy portability. The bed comes with a drawstring bag for travel or storage.
Each bed is made from durable muslin and canvas fabrics, bamboo/organic cotton quilt batting, super-soft minky fabric lining, and a Toughtek slip-proof base. SassMuffins beds come in a variety of sizes and styles. Make sure to check out the SassMuffins Etsy shop to see all the options.

“The models for these beds are my two rescue kitties Tyler (gray tabby) and Lucy (gray and white tabby). Tyler was found abandoned in a hotel parking lot at a busy 6-lane highway intersection in Tyler, Texas (hence his name!), while Lucy was found approaching cars on a very cold December night (freezing temps) at a local Wendy’s drive-thru. I think she had possibly just been abandoned, and was maybe approaching strange cars trying to find the one that belonged to “her”. Both were 3-6 month old kittens when found, and were taken to my local vet and scanned for a microchip, but having none and not being able to find their owners, they both found a new home with me, and have a very special place in my heart!”

I love the unique convertibility of this bed and that it has such style as well. Usually when it comes to a utilitarian designed items, they lack any style or substance. This bed would be a hit with all my cats.

I love that it all comes apart to be washed. I also love that if folds up and stores so easily. My darling girl goes through phases of where she wants to sleep and what she will use as a “cat bed”. Right now her favorite cat bed is the bathroom sink. So I like the idea of being able to store the bed easily for a few months and then bring it back out as “new”. Great product.

Mr. Miagi would love to call this bed his own. He has his own chair but it’s time he had his own bed. The washability is definitely a plus! The foldability will be helpful in our upcoming move from Mass to South Carolina!

Washable? Yay!! We have five cats and it is hard to keep up with all the fur, hairballs, etc. I’ve tried washing other kitty beds, but because the cushioning and cover were all one piece, they do not hold up well. This is a great solution.
