You probably know that I’m a big fan of handmade cat toys, but that doesn’t mean I don’t check out the toy aisle every time I’m in a big retail store to see what’s new. I recently came across the Catnip Mouser from Petlinks System and I brought some home to test with the kids. These little mice are made of hard compressed organic catnip, which we’ve had before in the form of a ball. The balls are popular with the cats, but I don’t love hearing the sound of them knocking against the baseboards all night. I thought maybe these mouse-shaped catnip toys would be a bit quieter, and I was right. They can still grab the little rope tail and fling it against the wall, but it’s not quite as noisy.
Pretty much the second I took the mice out of the package, the cats were on top of them. My two catnip-loving torties were the first to give them a test drive, and they approve.
