Here’s a new sleek and stylish way to conceal the litter box while adding a designer element to your home. It’s the Catteux litter box cabinet by London-based Elips Design. This large cabinet provides a spacious section for the litter box with a side entrance and a storage compartment. Choose from black or white exterior with custom colors inside.

Holes in the sides and top are both decorative and functional, allowing air and light into the litter compartment. Large doors swing open in front for easy cleaning.

Catteux is made from lacquered MDF and measures approximately 40″ x 20″ x 20″, but custom sizes are also available. Catteux can be purchased directly from catteux.com starting at £ 1,480, or about $2,350 US.

I love the design, it is easy to clean and I love the color!!!

A liiittle on the expensive side for “just” a piece of furniture to hide the cat litter, but very stylish and practical. With it, the littler boxd can even be put in the living room!

Beautiful! I want those chairs too!

Holy moly what a price! I can understand that it’s a “design piece” and really something people wouldn’t think of themselves, but let’s face it.. you can make an IKEA hack for around 100 euros. We made one and it’s definitely pretty, functional and best of all: cheap!

Do yourself a favor and don’t spend $2000 on a piece of overpriced furniture.
Instead, built this yourself for under $150 by doing it yourself:

Wow that’s expensive! On the plus side, I’m glad they gave me an idea for a DIY project.

What a stylish way to hide the box! I think this is my favorite of all I’ve seen. And is that a Pod with a Deep Yellow pillow??? Finally one that will match my home!

Maybe I’m missing something but I don’t see how the cat gets from the rectangular opening on the left-hand storage side (with the bags of litter and food) over to the side where the litterbox is on the right-hand side. I don’t see an opening in the divider between the 2 compartments.

I like it, but why doesn’t someone design something with the litterbox at waist level? People with bad backs etc. would appreciate not having to stoop to scoop!

Whew — the prices get more and more outlandish! It is a nice piece, but I just wouldn’t ever pay that price, even if I was a CEO. And having the litterbox in the living room? No. Just — NO. Beautiful gray fluffy model!
March 25th, 2012 at 1:37 pm
I’m sorry, but how can they justify that price?! That’s ridiculous!
March 25th, 2012 at 2:47 pm
Where are you guys finding the prices? I’m sorry, but this website is not very user friendly.

Hmmmmm, a couple of mortgage payments or a litter box hideaway. Which one to choose? Really would love one of those though .

If you check out Ikea Hack you’ll find you can make pretty much the same kitteh box for about $120.

I would love to have this for my cat box in the bathroom!!
March 25th, 2012 at 6:23 pm
Boy, I’m with you all…this one is just a little pricey! And if you go to the Catteux website you can watch their artsy video and have a seizure. *shakes head* (Don’t say I didn’t warn you!) The entire time I was visiting their site, I kept thinking about that IKEA hack idea…and we don’t even have IKEA where I live!
If you’re interested, Amazon has quite a selection of less expensive litter box cabinets–just search for “litter box furniture”.
Also, “Litterworks” (a storefront within Amazon) has cabinets that elevate the litter box from its normal lowly position (although the litter boxes sit on top of the cabinet, not inside). There are a couple of elevated cabinets for the electric litter Littermaid cat boxes as well as an elevated one for your manual cat box (with or without a cover).
Happy scooping!

@jscrow,
To enter the litter box chamber, there is a little tunnel that goes behind the equipment storage compartment.

Hey, check out this large multi-use unit! And only $346!

This is very similar to one I found a few years ago but about twice as much money. I love the design, as it can force the cat to walk on a litter catching matt (something I desperately want). Anyway, here is the one I found a while ago. It is the same concept, but a little less money, however I don’t know where they ship to, etc…

Great concept but outrageous price! I would think the company would sell more if they were more reasonably priced. But to each his own, I guess.

this is amazing. my cats will love it!

This piece of furniture is amazing!
March 30th, 2012 at 9:32 am
I NEED THIS NOW!
March 30th, 2012 at 8:29 pm
It really is quite stylish, but the price is scandalous.

I have seen this same exact design so many other places and for WAY cheaper. Looks great, but price is ridiculous.

Dear Husband and I want to DIY something like this. It is out of our budgets to buy this one, no matter how lovely it looks like.
