I’m very excited about this new cat scratcher from Hepper, not just because it’s beautiful, but it’s versatile, too! The new Itch scratcher is designed to provide kitty with a very sturdy scratching surface in one of two positions. Angle the curved arc up for 21″ of vertical stretch, or down for 15″ of height and more of a horizontal surface. Brilliant!

The Itch scratcher is made with corrugated cardboard sandwiched between a Baltic birch plywood frame. The cardboard is 2.5 inches thick and should last a good long time, but refills will be available soon so kitty can keep on scratching.

The clean modern form looks like it will be a magnet for kitty, as well as a beautiful piece of design for your home. I love the natural materials and simple form.

Itch is quite affordable, too, at just $89. Available now from hepper.com.

This looks amazing! My cat Mookie loves and needs vertical scratching opportunities – especially ones that don’t involve expensive armchairs or fabulous farm table legs – but Zoey is more of a horizontal scrather – and SHE knows where to scratch! This is beautiful in design as well as looking highly practical.

Beautiful, practical AND affordable! I’m quite jealous – cat scratchers like this just don’t exist in the UK. Think I may have to send my cats over to the US for a shopping trip!

Wow that’s the best looking affordable scratcher I’ve seen. Very glad to hear there will be refills as well.

Still too rich for our blood, but very nice design, and those models!!! Gorgeous!

I’ve seen every cat scratcher under the sun because I have a ton of cat owning clients. http://www.shannonspetsitting.net/ Personally its not an item even as a cat owner myself I can see the sense in spending a ton of money on. It seem like the more $ you spend or the more “unique” it is the less chance you have of them using it! LOL I think this is more for the owners than the cats.

I love it! When we move into our new home soon I’m going to have to get one of those for our kitties.

Ditto!I really like the fact that the scratcher can stand upright!

it would make a great gift for a friend with limited space for cat furniture. Perfect!

Looks like a good scratcher.

Love the design – not entirely vertical, not entirely horizontal, allowing the cat more control and letting her find the most comfortable position. Kudos!

Great scratcher! Hoping to direct kitty away from the furniture and carpet. Any darker woods, such as teak or cherry?

Nice, but $89 is considered to be affordable? I can get a handmade 6′ tall multi-level cat tree for less than that! I admit that I am a tightwad, but my kitties could get a lot of things for $89 that would benefit them more than 1 scratcher, even a really nice looking one like this.

I’d like to have one for my 7 cats, but right now I can’t afford to pay that price.

I agree it isn’t really “affordable” but I bit the bullet and purchased this scratcher for my furry friend, Iggy. Of course he at first liked the box it came in better than the scratcher but once I got him playing, he took to the scratcher right away. If you happen to use pipe cleaners as toys (they are Iggy’s favorite thing), then you can stuff the pipe cleaners in the grooves of the cardboard and it is not just a cat scratcher, but a giant toy. Iggy is having a great time with it.
