Looking to bring a little nature into your modern home? Check out this new line of cat scratchers from Dutch company Royal Woods. These beautiful simplistic cat trees are made with liana wood, a unique natural material that gives them a stunning appearance.

There are currently three sizes of cat scratchers, each with a sturdy base and one or two climbing platforms that are covered in woven coconut. The company also takes custom orders. Prices range from €299 to €499, or about $400 to $650 US.

these prices may seem high (and they are), but i’ll bet this company turns a minuscule profit when all is said and done.
i wish people had the money and appreciation to buy neat stuff like this, though.

These are gorgeous. Wish we could afford one (sigh) Unfortunately, shelters like ours, simpy can’t.

These look amazing, but I think this is more a thing for the owner than the cat. They look difficult to climb and there are only a few places to stand, and they aren’t even soft.
Most cats would probably prefer classic climbing posts like Kattens No. 1 (Danish brand that makes high quality climbing posts) as they have soft places to sleep and are easy to climb all the way to the top.
Still, I have to admit that classic climbing posts aren’t even close to these when it comes to looking good in the living room.

My cats would love to climb these. I sort of wish there was something at the top for them to sit on but it would be a neat piece to put near something else high up so they could use this to climb to it. Neat that is so different than other things we see for cats.
