Here’s just the thing to slow down that speedy creature racing through your living room! It’s a Kitty Speed Bump from Catpods.com. We absolutely love the one they sent us to test. As you can see below, the Kitty Speed Bumps have multiple functions: resting spot, scratching surface, bolster, and meeting place. The Speed Bumps are much heavier than you might think, so they stay in place easily, especially on carpet.

Kitty Speed Bumps are just the right size to give your cat a little place to mark as her own. By scratching, rubbing, and lying on the Speed Bump, kitty will leave her scent and scratch marks to claim her territory. Wouldn’t you rather her do that on a Speed Bump than on your furniture?
Kitty Speed Bumps are available directly form Catpods.com for $19.95. Use coupon code MODERNCAT and get 5% off all products, plus, right now, receive a free bag of Kitty Pucks toys with every order!

ENTER TO WIN! THREE WINNERS!

My kitty needs a speed bump so she can stop using my good wooded chest as her nail file! Might help slow her down when she runs through the house; maybe she’ll stop slamming into the wall.

As a breeder of Siberian kittens ,there’s lots of racing around the house along with our 2 pet Siamese. And so, when I read this about the speed bumps , I thought this would be cool! But then I saw that they are nice & heavy & make great scratching pads & loungers, I thought this might be just the purrfect addition to our trees, toys, etc.

I love cats I love every kind of cat I just want to hold them all. You were right
Modern girls always have to go
Right on time
Old-fashioned men always want a mistress
You were right
Modern girls always get their way
I was wrong
Modern men dream of what they can’t say
That’s alright
(That’s alright)
I don’t belong

April 30th, 2012 at 10:14 am
The Kitty Speed Bumps are great! My furballs love corrugated scratchers… I can never seem to have enough of them around!
April 30th, 2012 at 10:14 am
would love to have this for my cats.
April 30th, 2012 at 10:15 am
My kitty could use this at the top of the stairs, so she has an appropriate place to pause and scratch as she tears around the house!
April 30th, 2012 at 10:15 am
You have the BEST cat stuff every always top notch
April 30th, 2012 at 10:15 am
Layla, Morgan, Lili, and Val would love this. Horizontal scratchers can be great. They don’t fall over. There’s a reason that they always show tiny kittens with the usual kind of scratching post – big cats pull them over and where’s the fun in that! This has a nice round shape, like a log. The gang would think it was way cool.
April 30th, 2012 at 10:16 am
Teh Ornge Kitteh would love this. he’s always scratching some piece of furniture or other.
April 30th, 2012 at 10:17 am

April 30th, 2012 at 10:21 am
Because we might need to get rid of him as a result of him tearing up the carpet.
April 30th, 2012 at 10:22 am
