For this month’s giveaway, we’re offering the extra large 35″ vertical scratching post from Mountain Cat Trees! This super-sized scratching post is designed to handle the biggest and tallest cats out there. The base, measuring 20″ square and 4″ high, ensures that this scratcher will not tip over. The top has a space just big enough to allow for perching, as the beautiful tabby below is demonstrating.

This scratching post is made with untreated sisal rope, a natural pine base and cypress perch. The base is trimmed with natural manila rope. Rubber feet ensure no-slip on hard floors or carpet.

I have five babies who have torn up the scratching post my dad & I made about 15 years ago. They still use it even though most of the sisal rope is laying on the carpet in the living room. It’s time for a really nice scratching post for the fur children. Thanks for this opportunity!
May 7th, 2012 at 6:18 pm
Wow! I need another cat for this to share the fun!
May 7th, 2012 at 6:35 pm
My cat could use a proper scratching post like this. The carpet on her homemade scratcher is falling off.
May 7th, 2012 at 10:29 pm
I think this would be the purrrfect excuse for my 18 lb. “Maximus” to get up out of the window and stop intimidating the tweety birds. Please keep the email feeds coming! Thanks for the chance to win!
May 8th, 2012 at 7:55 am
My cats could really use this! They love sisal but their scratcher is covered in carpet (well soon I’m gonna wrap the parts they ripped off the carpet with sisal if I don’t end up replacing it altogether lol)
May 8th, 2012 at 9:36 am

So nice that it’s not carpeted! Just wood and sisal makes it functional and attractive. Ideally we would have one of these in every room.

The May scratching post looks nice and sturdy – just right for a friend who doesn’t have a decent post for his two cats. They are have shredded a chair, and he will never get them trained without some help.

May 11th, 2012 at 4:35 am

May 11th, 2012 at 8:09 am
my 2 big boys would love this, and it would possibly save my curtains – we have a couple posts but this one is so tall! think they would use it more!
