If you’ve been following along on the Moderncat Facebook page or Twitter, then you might have seen me posting from the Catification Lounge at the 2012 BlogPaws Pet Blogging and Social Media Conference, held in Salt Lake City last week. The Catification Lounge was a showcase of some of my favorite modern cat products, all on display for attendees to see firsthand. Jackson Galaxy and I put together some “Catification Tips” for creating truly cat-friendly environments, which you will hear more about soon. The Catification Lounge was sponsored by the folks at Zero Odor.

Several celebri-cats visited the lounge during the conference, including Coco from Curlz and Swirlz, Pumpkin Puddy, and Zeus & Phoebe. Gracey, The Tiniest Tiger, and Pimp from Your Daily Cute both made appearances in flat cat form, and to prove that we don’t discriminate in the Catification Lounge, we let Manny and Marcuz from The Enlightened Ferret enjoy the lounge, too!

I love attending BlogPaws because I have a chance to meet up with some of my favorite cat bloggers including Robin from Covered in Cat Hair, Ingrid from The Conscious Cat, Tamar from I Have Cat, Angie from Catladyland, Deb from The Chronicles of Zee and Zoey, new friend Debbie from Glogirly, Stephanie from Catsparella, Janea from Paws and Effect, Joanne from The Tiniest Tiger Conservation Cub Club, Karen from Mousebreath, Dorian from Your Daily Cute, Stacey from Pets Weekly, Teri from Curlz and Swirlz, Caroline from Romeo the Cat, Janiss from Sparkle the Cat, Amy from Sebastian the Sensitive Soul, Rachel from We Have a Situation, and Ashley and Nikki from I Love Rescue Animals. I also got to meet Dusty Rainbolt from the Cat Writers’ Association, as well as the fabulous singing cat lady Sarah Donner.

There was another special guest at the conference this year, Moki Fogg, A.K.A. The Wobbly Cat, and his mom Crystal. Moki has a mysterious neurological condition and is undergoing extensive rehabilitation. Moki’s story serves to educate people about special needs pets and what can be done for them. He is an incredible little guy with a huge spirit. It was an honor to meet him!

So what happened to all of the goodies in the lounge at the end of the conference, you ask? Everyone who stopped by the lounge had the chance to fill out an entry form and we did a big drawing at the end to give everything away. All of the larger items in the lounge were donated to local animal shelter, Friends of Animals Utah for their cat room. We will share photos of the finished room as soon as everything is set-up.

I have to thank the BlogPaws team for asking me to be there with the Catification Lounge, and I cannot forget to thank Peter Wolf from Vox Felina and Jill Delzer owner of Ally McPets Pet Sitting and a member of the Jackson Galaxy/Spirit Essences team for all their help in the lounge.

Zero Odor

The Catification Lounge was sponsored by Zero Odor, one of my favorite odor elimination products. They do a live demo with red onions that will knock your socks off! Onions that will make you cry are rendered almost completely odorless after a few sprays with Zero Odor. Very impressive!

We gave away lots of samples of Zero Odor in the lounge, and they don’t want you to feel left out, so they are offering a special prize package to five lucky readers! Five winners will each receive a Pet Multi Kit, including three 16 oz bottles of Zero Odor, one each of their Pet Spray, Litter Spray, and new Pet Stain Remover. The kit sells for $34.95.

To enter to win, please leave a comment on this post. The winner will be chosen in a random drawing and announced on July 2, 2012. One entry per person. This giveaway is limited to addresses in the US.

How awesome! The Catification Lounge looks like heaven for my kitties, lol :)

  14. 564

    My poor nose.

It would be wonderful to have something that could actually eliminate the harsh odors completely.
Four rescued cats, one small close corner inexpensive house.
And I believe the dust from the litter is more the irritant than anything else.
It would be so nice to be able to breath clearly once again.

  15. 565

  32. 582

Our Pepé Le Pew could use thise

  33. 583

One of our biggest challenges with 80+ cats is odor

  34. 584
    Paul L Pallardy

This would help me out very much, “Stripes-Girl” does not cover
her body waste. Everytime she goes to the litter-box she leaves
everything un-covered!!! P. S. It is very un-pleasant for me.

  35. 585

I’ve learned that Blogpaws 2013 will be in Virginia – a 6 hour drive, and I’m already looking forward to attending, hopefully I’ll be able to!

Zero Odor is something I’ve had on my Shopping List for some time, but somehow…have taken the simple route at the local store with inadequate “odor eliminators”.

I hope we win! It would be amazing!
