If you’re a Moderncat fan, then you probably share my opinion that cats make a beautiful addition to any home. Well, have you ever thought about decorating your home to match your cat? And no, I don’t mean a leopard print sofa. How about something more subtle, like a color palette inspired by your cat?

Design Seeds is a stunningly beautiful website featuring color palettes inspired by exquisite photos of nature, food, crafts, vacations, and creatures, among other things. As you would expect, there are several lovely color schemes inspired by fabulous felines, some with unexpected pops of color as accents. Any of these would be the perfect palette for a serene modern home. Please make sure to visit Design Seeds for more color inspiration.

Very cool, except currently 4 of my 5 are some variation of orange/black/white so I would end up with a Halloween-looking home.

Absolutely gloriously beautiful! As everyone who’s anyone has always known, cats are the most beautiful, elegant and stylish of all living beings — and their colors? Gorgeous!

I’ ve always been lucky with my adoptees, they always look great with my colors, even the ones that add a much needed accent color spot. These color palettes are gorgeous, would not take to much tweeking to assimilate into my home. Absolutely gorgeous!!!

This is great! However, when I go to DESIGN SEEDS, I cannot find any of these featured cat inspired palettes on the website, except for one. Could someone help me?

My home has been decorated in the colors of my lilac-point Balinese since 1987. The last of my Bali’s died in 2007. Now my new moggie dilute tortie-and-white is of similar tones, so the color scheme still works as ‘matching the cat’.
