Here’s a brand new way to add a touch of whimsy to you kitty’s litter box. It’s the Litterfish designer litter box from IOVO Designs. This covered creation transforms the litter box into a modern fish with a sleek cover. The Litterfish measures 18″ wide by 25″ deep and 18″ tall, not including the fins.

It looks like the Litterfish will come in a handful of different finishes, including premium glossy black and white finishes. The premium finishes apparently use automotive paint to create that high-end look, but these will run you $550. The regular plastic finish in white or orange will retail for $200.

PRE-SALE DISCOUNT
IOVO Designs is offering a special pre-sale discount on the orange and white plastic models of the Litterfish. They need 1000 people to purchase a Litterfish in order to go into production so they are offering a 15% discount on pre-sales. Get a white or orange regular Litterfish for just $159. If you change your mind before production starts, they will refund your money entirely. Visit the IOVO Designs website for more details.

Thanks to Moderncat reader Lucrecia for the find.

TOO COOL, great pre-sale pricing, certainly would love to purchase one for my babies, but personal economy is not the same after retirement.

Yikes. Too fishy & bulky for my taste.

They’re all way too rich for our blood, but they sure are cute — I can imagine having a “school” of the orange ones!

These are awesome, they really are but 550 dollars for the shiny black and white ones?! Nearly 600 dollars for a litterbox? I don’t understand why cat products are so expensive, when I was looking for cat trees the funky cool ones were over a THOUSAND dollars, that seems crazy to me.

If I had the money I would totally buy one!! Maybe even a custom one that looked like a shark or koi!!

Wow this design is one of the cutest for litter boxes I’ve seen so far, still modern looking too! Now if someone could integrate cuteness with high-tech…
I love how the white version looks like the goldfish turned pale from shock.

beautiful, but way too pricy for a litter box. Sorry,

I think it would be unconsionable to pay more for a litter box then most bathroom commodes

I love orange fish! I am unemployed, otherwise I would buy it right now.

Those are great fun! I agree that the price is a bit extreme though. And I also think they’d be better with a deeper pan. I sure wish they didn’t cost so much, because I’d be getting the orange fish.

I think these are the cutest things to come out for Our Cats. I would own one in a heart beat, but I just can’t see paying that much for a Cat”s potty in today”s economy. If you have specials in the future it would be great to know.
Thanks

I like these litter boxes. Great concept! Too expensive!!

I understand the concern about price – it is more than the $30+ you would pay for an ugly cat litter box, however, we really did try to price it as low as possible with the “launch special” of $159. You can get both the Basic (orange) and Modern (white) Litterfish for that price. They are made out of ABS plastic, which is much more durable and higher quality than the HDPE litter boxes that are cheaper. The premium finishes are Litterfishes painted like a car part – I don’t expect many people to buy them, but they have more in common with a new car bumper than a normal litter box, and, if you compare the price with the price your Toyota dealer charges for a new, painted bumper, they’re a real deal!
