Win a Case of Stretch & Scratch Scratchers for Your Favorite Cat Shelter or Rescue!

Animal Welfare, Giveaways

Here’s a fun Friday giveaway! It’s your chance to win a full case of 50 Stretch and Scratch scratchers to be donated directly to your favorite cat shelter or rescue! The lovely folks at Stretch and Scratch created their entire business around improving the lives of cats by making and selling these awesome little scratchers. The scratchers help kitties living temporally in caged environments by providing them with exercise and entertainment, plus when the cats get adopted and go to their new homes, they can take their scratcher with them for a little extra comfort.

Just like with all of our giveaways, please leave a comment on this post to enter, but be sure to tell us the name and website (if available) of the cat shelter or rescue where you will donate the Stretch and Scratch scratchers if you win. Any cat rescue organization that could benefit from the Stretch and Scratch scratchers is eligible, they don’t need to have a shelter facility. Foster-based rescues also need to place cats in cages during adoption events, so the scratchers would be great for them, too.

The winner will be chosen in a random drawing and announced on September 14, 2012. One entry per person, please. This giveaway includes free shipping in the continental US, so if you’re outside that area, please feel free to enter as long as the shelter you’re picking is in the continental US.

I’d nominate Cat’s Cradle out of Harrisonburg, VA. This is a wonderful all volunteer no kill rescue group. They function totally on donations. Looking through the list of emails I am encouraged by the number of similiar organizations all over the country. I wish they could all get the scratchers but since only one can win…why not my choice?

I love the work Delaware’s Humane Society (a no-kill shelter) does for lost and/or abandoned cats. These Stretch & Scratch scratchers would be soooo deeply appreciated, as they would provide hours of entertainment & exercise for the cats/kitties when they are in their cages. I know there are SOOO many deserving cat shelters, that I don’t envy your position as decision maker. I do know that whomever receives these Stretch & Scratch scratchers will be very lucky indeed. I sure hope you choose the Delaware Humane Society as the recipient, and am thrilled that somewhere 50 cats/kitties will soon be receiving such a wonderful gift. My second wish is that all of our feline friends are soon adopted into loving homes ;) . Thank you for all that you do :) !!

Our nearby shelter already uses them; the cats love them of course and take them with them when they are adopted.
I want to donate them to Homeless No More cat rescue Adoption Center 509 Fourth Street, Fairbury, Nebraska 68352.
The Adoption Center will open Oct 5 and they are furnishing their rooms right now, it’ll be a wonderful addition to their cat furniture, specially that they can take them home

Friends For Life, a no-kill shelter in Houston, Texas could use these scratchers! The kitties there are not in cages and have to take turns at the cat scratching surfaces, and they use them prodigiously!

This is so awesome to give away these cat stratchers to a cat shelter. The one place that first came to my mind is: The Animal Care Council. It is located in Endicott, New York. They are a wonderful organization. They are non-profit and do so much to help cats. I had gone to them when the precious love I had passed away. My daughter had found a cat that she fell in love and vice versa. I hesitated because of the expense of getting her. The assistant director started speaking to us and asked me why I was hesitating. I told her because of the financial. The female cat, whose name was Katia, had a lot of medical issues and was on I believe 5 different medications. The director said if we take her she would wave the adoption fees and give me free medical for her life with a vet that they used. She said she just wanted her to have a good home because she had never had one. She was 5 years old and had been a stray all that time. We took her. She was such a love. We only had her 5 months because she had kidney disease and they didn’t know. It hit her quickly. She started acting lethargic, etc. all of a sudden. I called the vet and on the way over she passed away. I talked to the assistant director of the animal care council and she apologized. She was happy that Katia got to have a home finally before she passed away. I was too. Staff from the animal care council picked her up from the vets because they have a special cemetery too for their cats and she said she would be buried there. If I didn’t already have 2 other rescue fur babies I would go there again.

They have a full hospital, feral cat rehab center, and so much more. I know these scratchers would be greatly appreciated. I will always have love for this shelter and their team of volunteers and vets. My two lovable rescues have changed my life for the better, and I can only hope the NSAL will be able to help many more animals and adopters for years to come.
