I take care of two colonies where I live as I have been TNR certified for over 8 years. It is hard work but the results are priceless. So called ferals were able to get a home and the truly undersocialized are healthy and taken care of.

I have so many friends deserving of this wonderful cap! My husband built a humane drop trap and purchased several receiving cages a few years ago when we needed to trap feral kittens, and since we’ve loaned it out to anyone needing TNR help. That trap has “rescued” well over 100 cats to date, and I’d like to give this cap to one of my friends as a “thank you.”

Cute hat! I have a former feral cat, Juliette, born in a feral colony in West Monroe, LA, followed the food giver one night and gave birth to six kittens on the cat rescue lady’s porch swing that night. Juliette was spayed after the kittens were weaned and then I adopted her, after my sweet cat, Scooter, had died. Juliette is now 4, happily an indoor only cat, and all her kittens have indoor homes.

I have taken care of colonies in the L.A. area for several years and now live on a remote Island in Lake Michigan. Needless to say I am working here to start a TNR program. Needless to say ferals are near and dear to me…..

Lovely tribute to Theo….so sorry for your loss. We all know how hard it can be.
As for the giveaway, what a wonderful idea! I’d proudly wear this
My four cats all came to me as rescues. The two girls were feral (wild, biting, scratching, terrified of humans) kittens that mysteriously appeared on the property one day. We always assumed they were sisters since they were the same size and showed up a day apart. And my boys were dumped on the road…happens much too often. The oldest showed up on the front porch the day after Christmas many years (best late xmas gift ever). And the youngest was found on the side of the same road in the rain in the dark (thank goodness for glowing eyes) next to a broken carrier that appeared to have been thrown from a moving car. I love all four of my kitties so much…..we still feed the “strays” that show up and provide shelters on the porch if one should show up. Just makes me sad to know there are some many out there needing love

These are not only adorable, they’re great conversation starters for TNR advoCATes! Love the gorgeous orange-striped model, too. I would love a small, black Feral Cat Hat (and then my neighbors and friends would KNOW I’m the local crazy cat woman and proud of it)!

Our shelter is helping with the local TNR program. I was touch by your sharing about Theo – Thanks for telling his story.
I hope to keep stories of these wise teachers alive.

Love these! I can totally imagine wearing one at work teaching ice skating, and explaining to the kids, who all love critter hats, why the ear is tipped

Gator says, “I am a proud ex-feral cat. I just know that either one of my daddies would look great in one of these hats. Give to them, please.”
October 16th, 2012 at 11:12 am
This is awesome!

One of my kitties is feral, Loretta, she is a constant challenge but would never have made it to 4 years old on her own. She had an eye removed at about 6 weeks, she was 1 1/2 lbs and came through like a trooper. I feel overwhelmed about the feral cat problem.
October 16th, 2012 at 11:16 am
I want this hat!!!

October 16th, 2012 at 11:18 am
Oh my! (I had to first stop crying about beautiful Theo long enough to be able to type….). I would love a beautiful brown hat with black ears. Every time I wear it I would be thinking about all the precious feral cats out there and sending them lots of love and wishes for warm shelter and lots of good food and any medical help they need!

All Feral Cats & Kittens need us ALL to save their lives with care, regular feedings, veterinary help, TNR, and, whenever possible, socialization and ADOPTIONS. Keep up the Good Work, fellow CATLOVERS !!
October 16th, 2012 at 11:22 am

October 16th, 2012 at 11:22 am
I was delighted to learn from Moderncat that there is a National Feral Cat Day. As it reminded me of when I was a child, myself and my siblings would visit our aunt. We were delighted to see the feral cats and kittens who lived nearby. They were great fun to watch, they were playful as a community. Our aunt was with us children and encouraged us not to disturb these delightful animals. Being respectful of their community – led to them trusting us enough to allow us to watch them from a comfortable distance. As they were nurturing and protective of their young.
If I am a winner, I would like a grey/black hat,
October 16th, 2012 at 11:23 am
Aww, these are adorable! Love em!
October 16th, 2012 at 11:24 am
This is a great hat and I’d love to win one.
Two of my cats were kittens born of feral moms living in the woods. They’re still shy of strangers – but with our family, they’re the most wonderful loving beings.
