South African company KittiCraft designs incredibly unique and innovative cat beds, scratchers, perches and other cat furniture. They use cardboard and laser cut MDF to construct unique and eye-catching designs that are sure to be conversation starters. I’ve never seen anything like it and I love all of their designs.

The Calabash can be hung from a ceiling hook, or the stand allows it to be a free-standing piece, which I think is just brilliant. The lining cushion gives the bed an extra layer of comfort and warmth on a cold winter’s night.

Brilliant design and such a fabulous concept! I loved how the designers thought this up while waiting to take home their kittens. I have a month to go for my own kitties to be ready and am feverishly looking for appropriate equipment and can relate to their “cute hot pink bed” story. I wish I were as creative as they are! Why can’t they be based in Australia? I could have a whole matching set!!!

The Rescue Ink Animal Shelter in Long Beach was completely distroyed by Sandy. Animals are safe and housed in a temporary shelter and we are already rebuilding. Any new items for the cat room would be a blessing.
