Artist Daniel Shepherd of The Ambient Studio created this series of fine art collages that include a touch of feline flair. These would make the perfect gift for any cat loving art aficionado. Artist (and cat lover) Julie Rist creates beautiful — and sometimes haunting — pastel drawings. Occasionally a cat makes its way in as the subject, as in these two pieces, “i didn’t do it” (above) and “OMG!” (below).

Alix Sloan of Sloan Fine Art in NYC has curated an amazing collection of art for the “Awakened” group exhibition and fundraiser at SoHo gallery AFA. The exhibition is inspired by the animal companions that brighten our lives, and a portion of the proceeds from every sale will be donated to Adopt-A-Pet.com in support of their mission to help find loving homes for homeless pets.

These lovely portraits are by illustrator Maggie Swanson. She works for various clients on commissioned pieces and has illustrated over 100 children’s books. I love it when an artist’s work makes it clear that they are a cat lover. Well, the husband and wife team of JW and Melissa Buchanan, aka The Little Friends of Printmaking, are certainly feline friendly. The first image above is a self-portrait of JW and Melissa with their two cats, Ralphie (the handsome buff fellow) and George (the stunning gray and white cow cat). The second image above is a new screenprint design called Cosmic Cat. This 19″ x 25″ hand-printed poster features a super-relaxed calico kitty taking a happy nap.
