Modernist Cat has been designing and manufacturing exquisite mid-century modern style cat furniture for a couple of years, but this redesign is the best yet. The line now offers pieces that are beautiful, functional and flexible.

The new version of the Circa50 Collection includes three cabinets that can be stacked, set side by side, or used as standalone pieces. There’s a new player in the high-end luxury cat furniture world and they have quite a lineup of beautiful items. Introducing Five Pet Place. More traditional than modern, these designs are made with fancy crown molding and high-quality craftsmanship to create the look and feel of fine furniture.

This is a one-of-a kind falling water cat drinking fountain by metal artist Marc Russo. He crafted the fountain after watching his cat drink from a running faucet. It’s so beautiful and modern! I hope he decides to produce these for sale someday.

With a 9 month old kitten in the house, I’m constantly looking for distractions that will hold his attention for as long as possible, so I was thrilled when the folks at Aïkiou sent me the Stimulo activity center for cats to test. Stimulo was originally designed to slow down speedy eaters. The toy comes with a sturdy base that holds tubes of different lengths. You put kitty’s dry food in the bottom of the tubes and she has to dig around to get it, slowing down her chow time and helping with digestion.

We don’t eat dry food, so I filled up the Stimulo with small toys and set it down for Andy to explore. It does the trick! He will work away until most of the toys are out, then he plays for a while and goes back to clean it out. I stuff the toys back in periodically and he’s thrilled.
